• Important Items for Your Food Storage Kit

I get asked this question all the time, “what items should I have in my emergency survival kit.” It’s a good question, one because the person is worried about not having survival supplies, and two, because there certain items that are a must in order to survive 72 hours. The first item is make sure you have a water supply. Typically these come in little pouches, and will have a 5 year shelf life. Once again, make sure you have enough to last at a minimum 72 hours. Make sure you also have some sort of food. I recommend the energy bars that are packed with calories, ranging from 1,000 to 4,000 calories a bar. Those are most important, but don’t forget to put a pair of clothes, socks, and shoes. Also, make sure you have a medical kit, band-aids, gauze’s etc… And last but not least, have some sort tool set, a hammer, shovel, swiss army knife, and rope, because you never know if it will come in handy. I hope this helps you when putting together your emergency kit.
